Milo Abellano’s journey from adversity to independence is a testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of second chances. Despite his hard work and high school education, Milo struggled to achieve financial stability, earning just 200 pesos a day.

In 2021, Milo’s life took an unexpected turn when he was incarcerated. The pandemic-era isolation intensified his struggles, yet he remained determined to rebuild his life and support his family.

A key turning point came through the Ilaw sa Dalan Legazpi City Volunteer Probation Assistant, Inc., which trained Milo in vulcanizing—a skill that opened new opportunities for him. The Assisi Development Foundation, Inc. further supported him by providing a compressor, which is crucial for his new trade.

With determination and the right tools, Milo's income tripled. This financial stability allowed him to purchase a tricycle, symbolizing his newfound independence. With his wife and six-year-old daughter by his side, Milo’s story showcases the power of community support and personal resilience.

Today, Milo is not only a vulcanizing technician but also a provider, role model, and beacon of hope in Sula. His journey resonates with those facing adversity, proving that with perseverance and the right support, one can overcome challenges and create a brighter future.
