Beyond Boundaries: ASSISI Foundation Scholarship

Growing up, education often felt like an impossible dream. My family faced financial struggles, but we pressed on with hope and determination. Then tragedy struck: my parents were involved in a serious accident that left them both disabled. Our challenges multiplied, yet my mother’s perseverance and humility became a daily reminder that strength is found in resilience.

I longed to be a source of strength for my family and a role model for my community. That opportunity came through the Assisi Development Foundation’s Educational Assistance Program (ADFI-EAP). With the guidance of Ms. Fearl Joy Alumbro-Florida, our school’s Focal Person, I applied and, by God’s grace, was accepted. This scholarship lifted a heavy burden and opened the doors to a brighter future.

As a grantee, I carry responsibilities: maintaining academic excellence, complying with program requirements, joining activities, and serving through volunteer work. These commitments are not just obligations—they are opportunities to grow as a leader and give back.

The journey has not been easy. I’ve faced financial strain, academic challenges, and personal struggles. But with determination, the support of ADFI, and faith in God, I’ve kept moving forward. Along the way, I’ve learned that life’s difficulties can be met with courage, gratitude, and perseverance.

Thanks to ADFI, I now have access to quality education and the confidence to pursue my dreams. Beyond my own growth, the scholarship has inspired me to serve others. Through volunteer work, I’ve tutored underprivileged children, helping them with their studies and encouraging them to believe in their own potential.

The Assisi Foundation has not only changed my life but also allowed me to touch the lives of others. For this, I am deeply grateful.
