SAILING TOWARDS A HEALTHIER FUTURE In the heart of the Philippines, where waters connect countless islands, the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation (YBH) has long been steering children in marginalized communities toward brighter futures. Our mission has always been clear: to ensure that no Filipino child is left behind, especially in education. But we recognize that learning begins long before a child enters the classroom—it starts with proper nourishment, the foundation of both body and mind.

THE SILENT STRUGGLE Malnutrition remains a silent crisis affecting millions of Filipino children. The numbers are staggering—3.6 million children under five suffer from stunting due to chronic malnutrition. Many of them live in remote, disadvantaged areas where access to nutritious food is limited, putting their physical and cognitive development at risk. This is why our partnership with the Assisi Development Foundation Inc. (ADFI) is more than a collaboration—it is a lifeline. Through the Hapag-Asa Feeding Program, we are working to provide children with the essential nourishment they need to thrive.

A PARTNERSHIP FOR CHANGE The Hapag-Asa Feeding Program is more than just a feeding initiative—it is proof of what can be achieved when organizations with a shared vision unite. At its core is MannaPack fortified rice, a nutrient-rich meal empowering children to grow, learn, and dream.

The program’s pilot phase, implemented in 12 YBH-adopted schools, has already made a profound impact. Children once too weak to focus in class are now active, engaged learners. With proper nutrition, they are no longer at risk of being left behind but are instead on a path toward academic success and a future full of possibilities.

CHALLENGES AND TRIUMPHS No journey is without obstacles. Delivering nutritious meals to remote areas, securing resources, and engaging communities all present ongoing challenges. Yet, with every hurdle comes an opportunity—to innovate, to strengthen partnerships, and to reinforce our commitment to this cause.Every meal served is a step toward breaking the cycle of malnutrition and poverty. Every nourished child represents a future leader, dreamer, and contributor to their community and country.

A VISION FOR THE FUTURE As we celebrate this partnership, we are filled with hope and determination. The success of the pilot phase has only strengthened our resolve to expand, reaching more children who need it most. Our goal is clear: to ensure that every Filipino child receives the nourishment they need to thrive, both in school and in life. We envision bringing this program to all YBH-adopted communities where it is needed most. But we cannot do this alone. We call on communities, organizations, and individuals to join us. In the spirit of Bayanihan, together, we can create a ripple effect of change, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to rise above their circumstances and reach their full potential.

MAKING WAVES OF CHANGE The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation and Assisi Development Foundation Inc. stand united in our commitment to fighting malnutrition. This partnership is more than an initiative—it is a movement, a call to action. When we come together with purpose and passion, we can change the world—one meal, one child, one hope at a time. As we sail toward a healthier future, we extend our deepest gratitude to our partners, supporters, and communities who believe in this mission. Together, we are making waves of change, ensuring that every Filipino child is nourished, educated, and empowered to navigate a brighter tomorrow.

Congratulations to the Assisi Development Foundation Inc. on 50 impactful years in the Philippines! Your unwavering commitment to serving marginalized communities inspires us all. Together, with the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, we will continue to bring hope and nourishment to the children who need it most—ensuring that no Filipino child is left behind.
